We are a Gymnasium / Grammar School with about 560 students and 50 teachers, situated in the rural town of Haselünne which has approx. 13000 inhabitants. The town itself is located in the Western part of Lower-Saxony, just about 30 kilometers from the Dutch border. Our school is an “Europaschule” und “MINT-Schule”. Our students have the chance of participating in a wide range of activities focusing on enabling students to successfully live their lives in a Europe whose peoples’ fates are highly intertwined.

During the last decades, our school has built up connections with different schools in France, Poland and the Netherlands. In addition, our school has been certified as an “Europaschule”, thus highlighting the European idea in different areas of school life. Also, students can participate in language courses preparing them for the CAE and DELF/DALF diplomas. Additionally, we offer special science / geography classes that provide students with the necessary expertise to understand the trials and tribulations of life in a world, in which it is important to handle the resources available carefully.
