This week we did a lot of things. We arrived on Monday at half-past two. We had to wait for one hour because we came to early. At half-past four, we meet other students from Germany and Nederland. We apprise with the plan, people, and students. Then we made a presentation about implementing the geo-circle plan for our school. Afterwards, we presented our work and discussed it. Another day we worked on a presentation on the better usage of cartons and then went to the national park and have a GPS walk around the park, plus we had to answer on prepared questions that we could found on the way. Then we come back to the Haus Sonnenberg and had a free evening and we spent time with our foreign friends. On Wednesday we had a trip to the big waste separation district where we heard a presentation about all kind of machines and then we had a small walk around the buildings then we travelled to one of the first Bio- villages in Germany. After another really interesting presentation about the beginning of building BIO- villages and its benefits and disadvantages, we went to the centre of Göttingen and had free time. We and our friends walked around and visited some shops and bought little thing home such as perfume or pendants. After free time we had dinner in the Italian restaurant. It was really great time because we spend some precious time with our friends and had a great main course and dessert. After we were full we travelled back to Haus Sonnenberg. On Thursday we worked on the presentation for the client with other students. The project was focused on the making Haus Sonnenberg circular. Then we started to write this text and in the evening had our last night in the bar with other people. It was such a great time.
What have we learned in Geo-circle?
We had learned that the circle Economy is a really important idea, but just a few people around the globe know about it. Another really important thing we learned is cooperation with different people from abroad and we are now much better in communication in English and the last we need mention is we believe in our selves much more now plus we realized the perfection isn't the most important thing because the most important thing is appreciation and hard work.
How can students in our school get involved in this project?
It's really easy to answer this question. They just have to help us a little in some ways, for example, they can try to cooperate with us in the completion of our goals that we want to do. They can found some donors or even donate their selves for the building of gathering barrels on our garden and afterwards help with the making of fertilizer on the garden to help grow plants or someday vegetables and fruit. Another thing they can help is an announcement of our project or even they can try to attract some potential client. Last but not least is help with paperwork which is necessary to succeed in our work.
What advice will we give to our school to get involved in CE?
We would like to ask our principal to try to find some donors who would help achieve our goals. Another topic is making our school garden which could be used to gain some money and another theme is rebuilding of our small buffet to the style of Zero waste which is starting to get known even in the Czech Republic it is a special lifestyle where you don't have almost any waste that can't be recycled largely plastics and scrap metals. The last idea I would like to mention is a cooperation of school and city on some projects such as the Clean Czech Republic and NO PLASTIC.
What is our role going to be when we get back, as you now function as representative of this project for our school?
The last question is always the hardest, right? Our roles will be probably public speaker and writer one of us will explain everything to the public and another will made some written works for school and public. Our tasks might look easy but the opposite is true we have to let everyone know about the circular economy and its benefits because how we said earlier in this work just a few people in the Czech Republic know about it and its advantages for nature or even for the whole world. We think the circular economy is really important and we have to let people know that we have to do something about it. We enjoyed a lot of fun on this project. Thank you very much.
