The exchange took place in January 2019. We arrived at Dusseldorf, where we used local train transport to Haan. Christoph was waiting for us at the stop. He escorted us to school, where local students were looking for us. We had already contacted the students before arrival, so everyone knew who they were going to be. The welcome was very kind, and then everyone went to his new house.
What have we learned?

1/ Students in Germany have more space for self-realization; they are more focused on teamwork; they are used to project teaching, unlike our students. On the other hand, students from Czechs are more respectful of teachers and set rules.

2/ Teamwork, if adequately assigned and everyone in the team knows their competencies can be beneficial. It was nice to see how easy German and Czech students were connected and able to work together this week.

3 / Staying with the host family is the best way to know new culture and traditions
